Photo 12 Apr 44 notes David M. Cook9 months ago I stumbled upon some incredible artwork through tumblr; at which time was peppered in with a variety of carefully selected images that appealed to me, I followed immediately. As time has gone on more artwork, scans, and photos of his own work filled the pages. Seeing non-stop growth of an artist through the web has truly been inspirational for me. Seeing creative processes, growth in the work, and successes such as creating 3-D glasses and imagery for heavy metal band Mastodon, and simultaneously having an art show where I was fortunate enough to pay a visit but yet unable to speak with the brains behind the work.I recently went to the hardware store to pick up supplies for a project I’m currently working on. Exiting the hardware store I looked up and instantly recognized the hooded bespectacled gentleman; none other than David M. Cook.  Right place at the right time; I had an opportunity to tell him how interested I am in the work he is doing and had some unexpected time to pick his brain and get to know the super talented color blind artist.
He has kept me interested in his work by a variety of approaches which in turn, I believe keeps him interested in his own work. Receiving feed back on variety of platforms from tumblr & instagram. Being a true believer in the old saying “you get what you put in.” which clearly is the current progression so he can keep doing what he truly loves doing. You can see moreof his amazing talents at dmcook.carbonmade.com
